* - Ivan Merino scored the Mustangs first 3 touchdowns in three different way, first he picked off an Eagle pass and ran it back 84 yards for a TD, then he returned a kickoff 89 yards for six and then capped a long drive with an 8 yard scoring run.

** - In one of the biggest blow out games of this long time rivalry, the Mustangs destroyed the Rams by jumping out to a 35 to 0 halftime lead. The Mustangs were lead by Ivan Merino who reached the 100 yard rushing mark in the first half and Cody Bruns who hauled in 6 catches for 209 yards, including a electrifying 92 yard catch and run for six.

*** - Kellen Moore passed for 428 yards and 5 touchdowns against the Vikings.

**** - Kellen Moore crushed the Valley's all-time record for passing yardage in the regular season, when he threw for 399 yards against Wapato. The total gave him 2,812, surpassing the record of 2,461 set by Brett Gordon of Eisenhower in 2003. Bobby Humphreys also got in the act as he returned a fumble 52 yards for six.

***** - The Mustangs got the playoffs rolling as the Kellen Moore tossed 7 TD's and Kody Frank returned a kickoff 85 yards for a TD against the Vikings.

****** - For the second time in 3 weeks the Mustangs demolished the Bulldogs and Nick Edwards returned a fumble (in memorable fashion) 21 yards for a TD.

******* - In one of the most memorable victories in Mustangs history (if you were there you know what I mean), the mighty Mustangs defeated a Bellevue team searching for their fifth straight State Title. Ivan Merino rushed for 118 yards and Kellen Moore tossed 6 more touchdowns.

******** - The Mustangs overcame the aerial barrage of the Vikings Jermaine Delgardo who threw for 410 yards to beat the Vikings. The game also included what I like to call "the play", after entering the red zone the Mustangs had 4 successive illegal-procedure penalties called against them and on 4th and goal from the 31 Kellen Moore hit his brother Kirby in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown.
