2009-2010 Mustang Boys game recaps
2/19/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs used a 20 to 9 fourth quarter run to pull away from the Red Devils and secure the league win 61 to 48. Blake Milne led the way with 12 pts, Kippy Brown added 11 pts, Dominic Garza added 8 pts.
2/16/10 - In Grandview, the Mustangs led 24 to 23 at halftime but a 20 to 9 third quarter allowed Grandview to pull away for the 51 to 40 win. Blake Milne poured in14 pts, Kippy Brown & Zane Zocher each added 7 pts.
2/13/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs used a decisive 22 to 5 3rd quarter to run away from the Wildcats 59 to 33. Dominic Garza led he way with 12 pts, Beau Hazzard had 9 pts & Kippy Brown added 8 pts
2/12/10 - In Wapato, the Mustangs gave the second place Wolves all they could handle through three quarters before falling in the fourth as Wapato took the game 63 to 49. Kippy Brown led the Mustangs with 14 pts, Dominic Garza added 13 pts & Blake Milne put in 9 pts.
2/6/10 - In Prosser, after coming off a draining double overtime game the Mustangs came to play Saturday night against the Vikings. The Mustangs and Vikings each outscored each other by four in the first two quarters. The Vikings led by three at the end of the third and the Mustangs missed opportunities in the fourth allowed Selah to pull away for the 60 to 46 win. Dominic Garza led the Mustangs with 14 pts, Beau Hazzard added 10 pts & Blake Milne & Zane Zocher each put in 7 pts.
2/5/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs came to play Friday night as they gave Ellensburg everything they could handle. The Mustangs & Bulldogs played each other to a tie after four quarters. In the first overtime the defenses stepped up as each team allowed just 5 points to be scored sending the game to double overtime. In the second overtime the Mustangs came up just a few buckets short as the Bulldogs outscored the Mustangs 11 to 7 to win 67 to 63. Beau Hazzard had a terrific game with 22 pts, Blake Milne scored 13 pts, Dominic Garza added 2 pts & Kippy Brown chipped in 10 pts.
1/30/10 - In Ephrata, the Tigers showed why they are one of the teams to beat in State as Ross Buchert & Patrick Simon totaled 60 pts in a 93 to 37 thrashing of the Mustangs. The Mustangs were down by eight after one but a 57 to 14 second & third quarter advantage did in the Mustangs. Beau Hazzard led the Mustangs with 8 pts, Kennen Pilot had 7 pts & Zane Zocher added 6 pts.
1/28/10 - In Prosser, Kippy Brown & Dominic Garza powered the Mustangs with 40 combined points and the Mustangs used a 18 to 7 second quarter advantage to hold on for the league win 61 to 47. Kippy Brown led all scorers with 23 pts, Dominic Garza added 17 pts & Zane Zocher chipped in 10 pts.
1/23/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs used a 25 to 8 second quarter run to pull away from the Huskies and fought off a fourth quarter rally to win 66 to 58. Blake Milne it four 3-pointers in leading the Mustangs with 23 pts, Kippy Brown added 16 pts & Zane Zocher put in 15 pts.
1/22/10 - In Moxee, the Mustangs played the Red Devils close as both teams were tied at the half, but a decisive 4th quarter allowed East Valley to pull away for the win 61 to 52. Blake Milne led the Mustangs with 16 pts, Kippy Brown added 13 pts. & Dominic Garza chipped in 8pts.
1/16/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs and Greyhounds played each other close in a sloppy game, but the Greyhounds did just enough to hold off the Mustangs 48 to 41. Blake Milne led the way with 11 pts, Dominic Garza added pts & Beau Hazzard had 8 pts.
1/15/10 - In Toppenish , the Mustangs used a 35 to 21 second and third quarter run to pull away from the Wildcats with a 61 to 52 victory. Beau Hazzard led the way with 17 pts, while Blake Milne and Kippy Brown each chipped in 10 pts.
1/9/10 - In Prosser, the Mustangs played the Wolves tough in the first half and only trailed by three, but Wapato outscored the Mustangs by ten in the third and despite a comeback in the fourth quarter the Mustangs still fell 69 to 63. Blake Milne was hot as he poured in 22 pts, Beau Hazzard had 11 pts, Dominic Garza & Kippy Brown scored 8 pts.
1/8/10 - In Selah, the Mustangs fell behind 27 to 11 at the half and could never recover as they fell to Selah 68 to 45. Blake Milne led the Mustangs with 9 pts, Beau Hazzard had 7 pts & Jordan Silva scored 6 pts.
12/30/09 - In Sunnyside, after falling behind by seven at the half. The Mustangs used a 18 to 13 third quarter run to pull within one, but ran out of steam in the fourth and fell 61 to 50 to the Grizzlies in non league play. Blake Milne once again led the Mustangs with 14 pts, Dominic Garza added 13 pts & Kippy Brown chipped in 10 pts.
12/29/09 - In Pasco, the Mustangs fell behind in the first and third quarters and couldn't come from behind as they fell 77 to 63 in non league play. Blake Milne scored 16 pts to led the Mustangs, Dominic Garza added 13 pts & Craig Gustafson chipped in 11 pts.
12/28/09 - In Ellensburg, the Bulldogs used a 11 to 0 run to start the second half and ran away from the Mustangs as the boys fell 70 t 44. Blake Mile led the Mustangs with 10 pts, Dominic Garza added 7 pts & Beau Hazzard had 6 pts.
12/19/09 - In Prosser, the Mustangs played the Tigers tough and were tied at the half with the CWAC frontrunners but a late third quarter run allowed Ephrata to pull away and win 67 to 52. Blake Milne ld all scorers with 1 pts, Beau Hazzard added 11 pts & Kennen Pilot put in 9 pts.
12/18/09 - In Quincy, Kippy Brow made a basket with 50 seconds left as he Mustangs held on for the 47 to 44 CWAC win. Zane Zocher led the Mustangs with 13 pts, Beau Hazzard added 10 pts and Kippy Brown & Blake Milne chipped in 7 pts apiece.
12/12/09 - The Mustangs fell behind 35 to 16 at the half and rallied in the second half but it wasn't enough as Prosser fell 64 to 46 to Othello in the CWAC & season opener for the Mustangs.
